Lindas parents dropped by Alta around their daughters birthday and traditionally we had to have birthdaycake and hot chocolate.
Autumn is a great season for gathering food; fish, berries and mushrooms for instance. Hennings boss Kirsti invited us to cantarell-picking and we accepted.
Alta municipality arranged at wanderingtrip across Seiland, and as the happy adventurers we are of course we joined.
Alta ”salmonfishing-association” (ALI) has hired three of the local architects to make a proposal for a new salmon-cabin. Hennings boss thought this was a good occassion to go travelling on the river.
Yet again Danes invaded Norway. This time it was Hennings brothers plus his niece and nephew.
For once we experienced the sun by the North Cape and eventhough it did not provide much warmth the Beks had fun playing petanque and ”soccer” on the edge of the world.
One of our friends from Århus, Bo, came for a very short visit. He happened to be in Tromsø and decided to visit Alta before going to Riddu Riddu festival.
We did our best to show our Danish guests a little bit of Finnmark, and in addition to the North Cape we found time to bathe, fish and do some wandering.
This year the Swedish band Hedningarna was to play at the Skippagurra-festival. We went to eastern Finnmark along with Nanna and Julie.
Nanna had her birthday two days after the party and we celebrated her 30th birthday at the North Cape with champagne and cream cake.
The planned 30th birthday-party went very well and people were eating, drinking and dancing until after 4 am.
For this years ”environment-week” Linda had helped arrange a small tour near the fjord. In this area there had been stone age settlements and now there was to be planned a new housingarea.
Tuesday 14th of june Henning went to Tromsø again. This time to look at housingprojects and discuss the good and bad solutions.
As always we have our own little ”garden”. The tomatoes are coming along nicely and it seems that we will also get homegrown strawberries this year.
The annual gathering in Northern Norwegian architects association (NAF) was held the day after a seminar on environmental planning this year. Henning and Linda attended.
